Personal Profile Second Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do/Kickboxing

I started training in 1985 under the direction of Grandmaster Sok Ho Kong of Seoul, Korea. I trained under the Moo Duk Kwan Korean Tae Kwon Do Association. I trained in New Martinsville West Virginia from 1985 until 2007 in Tae Kwon Do/Kickboxing (Moo Duk Kwan).

I started competing in 1994 with my first tournament being the U.S. Open Tae Kwon Do/Karate/Kung Fu Championships, and continued on to become a Junior Olympic Medalist and an invitation to compete in the Olympics. Results listed below.

  • 1994, 1995, 1996 United States Open Tae Kwon Do/Karate/Kung Fu Championships-1st Place Gold Medal (Charleston WV)
  • 1996 West Virginia State Tae Kwon Do Championships-1st Place Gold Medal (Charleston WV)
  • 1997- United States Junior Olympic Tae Kwon Do Championships-2nd Place Silver Medal (Louisville KY)
  • 1998/1999 International Kickboxing Federation sponsored event-1st Place Gold Medal (Canton, Ohio)
  • 2001-Battle of Columbus-3rd Place Bronze Medal (Columbus, OH)
  • 2003-Ohio Police and Fire Games-bowed out due to injury (Hilliard OH)

  • Green Belt in Aikido. I trained in Bridgeport Ohio from 2002 until 2007 in Aikido (Chudo Kia Aikido Federation)
